This is a first very, very rough guide on one way to defend M-COM B
First Phase of Port Valdez Beta with just one squad.
Myself,Nuke,Greedy and Zool had about 5 hours gaming yesterday and this worked pretty well.
Please add more input if you have any other tips
1 & 21 Assault, 2 Medic
Defend from the hut shown below, you can spot tanks for engineers
and have great view for picking off incoming troops.
If things get heavy you can fall back into the pit making it impossible for tanks to hit you unless they drive into the pit.
Medic Spot tanks and pick off enemy infantry incoming from the east road and front
This is a great spot from the hut for assault, you will see hordes
of enemy infantry moving across this slope trying to push
on M-COM A, if you have the laser scope you can pick them off.
3 & 4Both Engineers or maybe one go assault for ammo if needed.
Defend the Scaffold unit over looking the pit and M-COM B, pick off enemy tanks and infantry using the hardware located on the scaffold along with your own gear.
Cover 1 & 2 pick of incoming tanks from road
Missile launcher located on the first floor scaffold complex, this has a large scope of view you can hit armour incoming from the west side slope and east road.
Armoured machine gun, you can do a lot of damage with this gun
and clear the tree cover for your front line of defence. Making
it very hard for enemy infantry to push on down the middle of the map.
As I said these are rough tactics after only one days beta play but it gives us something we can work on.
Needless to say if there is no squad defending M-COM A or the rest of our team consists mainly of public snipers who think the aim of the game is to hide in the hills, then things will go a tad tits/up
As we progress I will knock up more tactics for the other sections to help members who do not have the beta or as much time to play as others.
So the more input the better.
